Can you be persuasive and professional on the telephone?
Here at Bishop Grosseteste University we’re looking for articulate, persuasive and enthusiastic Contact Facilitators to research, identify, target and make telephone calls to business prospects to interest them in BGU’s business services and to make initial appointments for our business teams. It goes without saying that you will need to project a professional image commensurate with the University’s excellent reputation
You’ll also need to be very organised and computer literate, possibly with previous call centre and or customer database experience. Good listening skills are also essential.
You will need to be ready to absorb some detailed information about our services and about eligibility criteria. You must demonstrate resilience in the face of rejection, and the ability to build rapport over the telephone with businesses and contacts at all different levels. Persistence and attention to detail are also highly desirable attributes.
If you are successful, we will offer training and a trial shift as part of your engagement, in a friendly and well-appointed environment. Initially you will work from pre-prepared lists of contacts, and only during normal business hours e.g. 09:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. Depending on job performance you may be able to arrange some home working.
Your actual working pattern can be very flexible within the above working week constraints, allowing you to fit in studies and/or household responsibilities.
