Fixed term until 30 June 2019 in the first instance
Bishop Grosseteste University has secured substantial funding from the European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) for a new Lincolnshire Open Research and Innovation Centre (LORIC), based on the principles of Open Research, Innovation and Data.
The successful applicant will play an essential role in managing the overall project, developing the Centre and its activities and applications of Open Data with business, professional and academic users.
Key responsibilities include:
To promote and educate clients in using open research, innovation and data, fostering strong links and engagement with beneficiary businesses across the Greater Lincolnshire area
To support the LORIC team in the successful delivery against ERDF output commitments as laid down in the funding bid
Ensure that the project is ESIF compliant, whilst maintaining budgetary control
Manage the transition of staff to St. Hugh’s, ensuring a successful launch of the LORIC facility
Forge strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
Establish and deliver a marketing and communication plan to ensure that the project and its objectives are known and understood
A track record in the success management of large scale projects is essential, with previous experience of involvement in EU funded projects desirable. The successful candidate is likely to be well networked in the Greater Lincolnshire area, with an evidenced track record of working with local SME businesses.
