We are seeking to appoint an Accounts Payable Assistant within the Accounts Payable team that will be focused on International Payments.  The Accounts Payable Assistant is part of a team responsible for the day to day administration of the Accounts Payable service of International Payments by providing administrative and clerical support using approved processes and procedures. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that all transactions relating to School spend are recorded in a timely and accurate manner to enable budget holders throughout the School to be able to monitor and successfully administer their budgets. The successful candidate will also be required to liaise with the Payroll team, wider staff and external suppliers to maintain an excellent standard of service to all areas of the School.  Reporting to the Assistant Financial Accountant (AP), the successful candidate will be educated to at least GCSE-level (or equivalent) in English and Maths and have previous experience of working as part of a busy Accounts Payable team, dealing with a high volume of international payments in a range of currencies. Being able to work with speed and efficiency whilst demonstrating excellent accuracy and numeracy skills are essential. The postholder should have well developed communication skills and the ability to show initiative, take responsibility for queries and resolve problems with minimal supervision. The successful candidate should also demonstrate excellent computing skills, particularly using Microsoft Excel, and will have previous experience of using a digital accounts system and online banking systems. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 4 scale in the range £28,270 - £32,158 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
