Category: Professional Support | Department: Faculty of Epidemiology & Population Health | Closing Date: 06 Feb 2017 | The Department of Population Health (DPH) is looking for an Administrative Assistant to work closely with the Departmental Operating Officer to support the work of this large and vibrant Department.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their skills and experience across a number of responsibilities in a wide-ranging role. In addition to providing administrative support in the areas of human resources, finance and research grant management the post-holder will help to keep Department records and to maintain the Department intranet and internet pages. The ideal applicant will have proven administrative experience in an academic, or similar, environment and will be able to manage a busy workload to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, proven experience of accurately maintaining paper and electronic records and the ability to work as part of a team with a ‘can-do’ attitude are essential. Further particulars are included in the attached job description. The post is based in the Keppel Street building of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The position is permanent and part-time (17.5 hours per week). The appointment is available immediately and will be made on the School’s Professional Support Pathway Grade 3 scale, £24,330 - £27,584 per annum (pro-rata), depending on qualifications and experience. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time.
