Type: Academic | Department: School of Law, Policing & Forensics | Location: Stoke campus | Closing Date: 28 Feb 2017 | The School of Law, Policing and Forensics seeks to appoint a dynamic, creative and experienced individual to this Senior Lecturer post in Sociology. It is likely that your experience and specialist knowledge will include teaching of Sociological theory, research methods, and Criminology.  You should have, or be nearing completion of a PhD in the relevant area, coupled with substantial teaching experience at university level. You will be responsible for leading and contributing to our undergraduate programmes in Sociology and Criminology and contributing to postgraduate programmes in these areas, a number of which are delivered by online distance learning.  An ability to work collaboratively and to high professional standards in order to deliver an increasingly diverse range of on-campus and online programmes is essential, as is your commitment to enhancing student recruitment, retention and satisfaction.
