Staffordshire University is working hard to become the UK’s premier digitally led university. We are already leading the way in the sector by adopting Microsoft cloud technologies and becoming the UK’s first Microsoft ‘Beacon University’. We are embarking on an ambitious portfolio of change to support our ‘Connected University’ strategy, focused on teaching & learning and the student experience. Our people will be key to its success, so we want to hear from dynamic, highly competent, customer focused IT/digital professionals that relish the opportunity to be part of our new Digital Services team and play a key role in delivering our ambitious plans.
Reporting into the Head of Digital Projects, you will determine the testing policy, own the supporting processes and take responsibility for the management of all testing activities within a development, implementation or integration project or programme. To maintain a robust testing environment, you’ll work closely with project teams, transition and change, applications’ team and other stakeholders, so that all risks associated with the testing are mitigated. You’ll assess and advise on the practicality of testing processes and initiate improvements to test processes; crucially playing a pivotal role in the development of test environments including implementing automated testing protocols to support the release of new solutions. You’ll also be responsible for working with suppliers and assessing their development and testing capabilities and producing robust project testing standards for all phases; influencing all parties to conform to those standards and effectively managing stakeholder relationships with respect to all testing matters.
We are keen to hear from customer focused, self-motivated, well organised IT/digital professionals with a passion for future state technologies, with a track record of leading, developing and maintaining robust testing environments, who can effectively support the delivery of digital/IT projects and digital changes into business as usual within a digitally literate and demanding customer base operating in rapidly changing complex customer centric project environment.
