The University’s Strategic Plan 2011-2015 states that ‘an outstanding student experience is at the heart of the University of Hull’. The Student Experience Programme (StEP) is the response to this strategic imperative ensuring a systematic, institution-wide approach. The vision of the programme is 'to provide an excellent experience for all our students'. The programme is owned by the University Registrar and Secretary who is accountable to the University Executive for its success.
As part of the Student Experience Programme a project is being initiaited to review and transform the University of Hull model of personal supervision. This is intended to benefit students by giving them the right support in the right place at the right times, supporting their development, becoming Hull graduates, and when making decisions about their academic career and their time beyond the University. The new model will be shaped by research on how personal supervision currently works at Hull, a scan of good practice in the sector and consultation with students and staff on their needs from personal supervision.
This post will be responsible for this initial research at the outset of the project, a review of the current model of personal supervision in the context of the findings from the audit and recommending a new model of personal supervision.
To discuss this role informally, please contact Robert Sherratt on E. email@example.com or T. 01482 466834
