Following a successful application to Sport England- University Sport Activation Fund, The University of Hull are seeking to employ a Sports Development Officer- Opportunities and Engagement. As part of a sports development participation project this role will focus on sustaining existing and growing new participation in sport at the University of Hull. This post will be fixed-term until September 2017, working within the sports development team based within the Sports & Fitness Centre.
The project focuses on increasing student participation levels in sport and this role will have the specific remit of creating a student workforce programme to deliver within the project. A suitable candidate would have a sports-related academic qualification at a minimum of foundation degree and knowledge and experience of working in a coaching or sports development environment with evidence of working with volunteers. Knowledge of sports clubs and National Governing Bodies is also essential for the role.
You will have knowledge and experience of delivering events and can demonstrate the ability to deliver clear and concise information in a sports delivery environment. You can further demonstrate a sound knowledge of safeguarding and equity in sport. Evidence of the ability to maintain effective records of work programmes and projects is essential.
