The Library is a key academic support department in the University and exists to support the development of The University of Lincoln, its students and staff by providing flexible, responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research in the University.
We are looking for a motivated and organised Electronic Resources & Systems Adviser to join our E-Resources team. You will have previous experience of working in a library, preferably in a higher education environment, and have a good working knowledge of Library Management Systems, resource discovery, metadata standards and authentication technologies for online resources.
You will have an Honours degree (or an equivalent level of experience) in a Library/Information Systems or IT related discipline and demonstrate experience of working within an academic library service environment. In addition, you will have excellent customer service and communication skills, initiative, a team player and have the ability to be planned and organised in a busy environment.
The successful candidate will be critical to the development of a broad range of digital services, platforms, software and tools and will be expected to work closely with other Library staff, academic and other professional departments to ensure that services meet the needs of students and staff across the institution.
The post holder will be part of the Library E-Resources team and report to the E-Resources & Systems Librarian. The post holder will have ownership of the day to day operations of the current Library management system, its users and resources and ensure all systems tasks are monitored and working as required.
This is a 37 hour full time permanent post based in the Library.
