The Library is a key academic support department in the University, providing students and staff with flexible, responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research.

The post-holder will work as part of the Customer Services Team.

The Library Customer Service Team is responsible for the effective delivery of all front line services through engagement with University students and staff and external visitors to the Library. The team leads the development and provision of enquiry services through a variety of channels, manages the overall circulation of print materials and takes day to day oversight of the quality of environment across all the University Library and Library Learning Lounges. The Customer Service Team promote and support the use of print material, specialist library equipment, and IT resources such as laptops and printers. They are there to support the student through their journey in the library by delivering excellent customer service.

This post is for 10 hours per week.

The hours of work are Wednesday 7-midnight and Thursday 7-midnight.

The post holder will report to the Team Leader - evening and weekend.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
