The University of Lincoln has a reputation for strong and innovative partnership work and a real commitment to making a contribution to the economic, social and cultural life of Lincolnshire and beyond. The University is currently working with local practice and service partners to establish a Centre for Rural Health and Care aimed at improving health and social care outcomes and reducing inequalities.
The Professor of Rural Health and Care is a new post and will be situated in the School of Health and Social Care, which already has an international reputation for its research. The post-holder, working with colleagues from across the University and in partnership with the local health and social care communities, will be expected to develop an international programme of research in the field of rural health and care and to make a contribution to the establishment of the new Centre.
The Professor will play a key role in the recently announced Lincoln Medical School, being developed in partnership with the University of Nottingham, and will be a member of the School of the Health and Social Care Senior Leadership Group.
We welcome applications from experienced academics with an established, sustained and substantial research profile in any area of rural health and care, and an international reputation in academic and ideally professional networks.
