The University of Lincoln, ranked 22nd in the 2018 Guardian University Guide, is seeking to appoint a Research Repository & Information Officer for the Research Environment Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the institutional submission to REF2021 and beyond. You will be part of a team shaping the research culture and strategy of an institution which puts excellent research with impact at the core of its activities.
The post-holder will be the institutional expert user of the Repository in the Research and Industrial Partnerships team with responsibility for the ongoing management of the data contained within the Repository. They will assist in the development and implementation of future updates of the system (working with the Research Information and Systems Manager and the external contractor) as well as for the production of high quality research-related data for the University’s leadership team.
This post holder will focus on maintaining and developing the Repository, by playing a key role in the analysis and benchmarking of the University of Lincolns deposits
Substantial experience of managing administrative processes, working independently and with minimal supervision, and experience of working with large data sets are essential. Experience of supporting research assessment exercises and working knowledge of the REF rules and the use of responsible metrics within research and research assessment. The right candidate should be a good communicator, have excellent organisational skills and be able to work to tight conflicting deadlines.
Knowledge of Open Access rules regarding research funding bodies and research assessment is desirable.
