Required as soon as possible to join an experienced Site Development team at this pleasant rural school.      

 

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in site development, with repair and maintenance skills, organisational skills, the ability to solve problems, an eye for detail, the ability to be a good team player, and the desire to develop and make progress in their career. 

   

The person appointed will be the assistant to our Site Development Officer (SDO) and will have the opportunity to be trained up, learning more about this wider whole-school role in preparation for future promotion.  They will assist the SDO in managing premises related contracts, energy efficiency, health & safety issues, organising and carrying out maintenance and new building development projects, as well as site oversight and caretaking duties.  It would be advantageous if the successful candidate were computer literate and possessed a clean driving licence with D1 provision, as they will be required to drive the school minibus on occasion.      

 

The post will be for 37 hours per week and will involve some Saturday working during term times to ensure coverage of the site responsibilities.  It will initially be paid on LGPS Grade 5 but has the potential to be paid on Grade 6 or above, depending on the skills and experience of the candidate and how they develop in post.
