Job Description

A fun opportunity to engage with King's Residences residents and contribute to the feedback collection for the annual Resident Experience Survey (RES). King's Residences are setting up a 6-week roadshow across all twelve sites to encourage students to give feedback on their stay with King's Residences. After completing the survey, students get a chance try their luck with the fortune wheel and other giveaways. Student Ambassadors' role will be to be a friendly face at residence's common areas during the roadshow and motivate residents to submit their survey feedback via a QR code. You will also support with running the giveaway station and actively listen to students' Resi-related concerns with a positive approach, signposting them to the right body of support if needed.

Skills

Support survey feedback collection by encouraging residents to take part in the survey at roadshows.



Engage King's residents with the roadshow activities - giveaways and fortune wheel.



Contribute to the overall high-dynamic energy during roadshow evenings to create a 'buzz' around the campaign period.



Actively listen and empathise with students' concerns whilst promoting positive communication and signposting to the right body of support within KCL services.



Promote a student-centered approach and amplify student voice.



Social/proactive/Engaging with peers.



Listening skills - ability to empathise with residents



Positivity Role model and relatable whilst professional boundaries/diplomatic/discretion.

Back of house cleaning duties

Counting and organising crockery, cutlery and glassware for event setups

Washing crockery, cutlery and glassware returned from events and storing them correctly

Completing and signing off Cleaning checklists which involves keeping the general back of house and rubbish disposal area clean

This job may be based at Great Hall or Riddel Hall, or across both properties

Multiple positions are available. Available shifts include 8-4 Monday to Friday, with other roles for evening shifts from 4pm available.

Knowledge of COSHH is desirable

We are looking for Event Assistants to provide support at our On-Campus Undergraduate Open Day event on Saturday 7 September 2024 where prospective students will experience King's and discover their study options.   

There are a number of jobs required for this event. It includes:  

Accommodation Tour Guide 
Gym Tour Assistant 
Open Day Steward 
Registration Assistant 
Room Assistant 

The majority of the above roles will be working from 09:00 with the exception Registration Assistants who will need to start at 08:00. All roles include a 1 hour unpaid lunch break and lunch vouchers will be provided.  

In order to fulfil the requirements for this role, you will be required to watch a short briefing video and complete a short quiz which will be sent to you upon allocation. Unfortunately, we cannot pay you for this time.
