King?s Culture brings together researchers, students, artists, academics, cultural partners, healthcare providers and community groups to collaborate and develop creative programmes that inspire and instigate conversation and action. These include free exhibitions, events, screenings, workshops and discussions across two of King?s sites: Science Gallery London on Guy?s Campus, just steps away from The Shard and across the Strand Campus.
For over ten years, King?s Culture has worked across and beyond the university to foster creative collaborations for knowledge exchange and impact. The work of King?s Culture enhances King's research, drives creative innovation, and enriches education through original learning opportunities.
About the role
King?s Culture is looking for an experienced communications professional to support the team until July 2025. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic and interested in engaging audiences through creative and shareable content.
This is a fixed term post and will require the successful candidate to work from King?s 4 days a week, and at Science Gallery London on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. While the post is predominantly based at Science Gallery London, this role will support communications work across the team and the Strand Cultural Quarter too and will be expected to work a day a week from the team?s office in Somerset House.
The role will include:
Social media channel management
Content generation? develop and edit content, including written and filmed.
Student Marketing campaigns lead, liaising with King?s Student Communication teams.
Stakeholder communications around marketing outreach proactively maintaining positive relationships and encouraging collaborative relationships to highlight and maximise the reach of King's Culture's work.
Website updates and improvements.
Email Newsletter management
Marcomms evaluation
Data Management
Event administration, including invite and list management
Budget and marcomms team admin.

QualificationsUndergraduate degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience.
Skills- Excellent administrative, organisational and office skills, including Office 365
- Excellent interpersonal & collaborative skills, including experience of working with a range of groups and stakeholders
- Exhibition & Event management experience
- Experience of writing copy for digital and print
- Experience in creative digital skills including experience in working with website/newsletter/contact databases, social media in a work context, CMS and CRM systems, content creation & filming
