Event Support Assistant

 

Job Description

To assist with logistics at the NMPC Faculty Futures Awayday and pre event preparation -



Thursday 25th April - 4 hours on site in JCMB and Friday 26th April 08.30am to 17.30.



Event will be offsite at Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1



 



Duties include: -



Holding the agenda for the day Briefing, looking after and introducing speakers



Announcing agenda items to make sure participants know what’s happening



Running the event and facilitating group exercises and agenda items Liaising with the event coordinator to manage/collaborate with any support staff/volunteers



Creating a registration check-in list



Creating name badges Setting up the registration desk on the day



Registering people, giving name tags, giving information, stewarding people to where they need to be from event start to finish



Set up and test the necessary tech on stage / in the space



Take roving mics to people during Q&A / whole group discussion



Help R&A set up the space with resources for each exercise



Make sure discussions in groups are being scribed and that notes are collected for post-event processing



Act as networking buddies during the breaks to support introverts to make new connections and be included in conversations



Tech support for breakout spaces



Registering, stewarding and managing participants experience in the breakouts



Providing support to breakout group facilitators



Keeping time for the breakouts.

Skills

Good communication skills. Microsoft office skills .Experience at working at or running events desirable but not essential.

You must have previous experience (clinical or research) in administering hypnotic inductions and different hypnotic suggestions to participants; you must also have relevant expertise in the study of nocebo effects and meta-analysis; and you must have published at least one paper on the topic of suggestibility or hypnosis.
