The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. We are seeking an Academic Professional Development Programme Coordinator to join the Academic Professional Development (APD) team within the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT). The CELT is a vibrant team of educational specialists working across the School to promote and develop innovative and inclusive approaches to learning, teaching and assessment. The APD team also lead the delivery of Advance HE accredited provision (Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (PGCiLT) and the Continuing Professional Development Route). The postholder will support the APD team in planning and organising the PGCiLT programme, CPD Route, and other academic professional development activities.

The postholder will have experience of working in higher education, ideally in a CELT or similar department. They will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and the ability to coordinate the work of others effectively. The postholder will have experience of evaluating and enhancing administrative systems and processes and the ability to lead evaluations of educational development activities. Applicants with experience of engaging with Advance HE and supporting accredited provision are particularly welcomed.

The post is available on a permanent 0.8 FTE basis from 01 January 2022.

The salary will be on the Professional salary scale pathways Grade 4 in the range £30,302 - £34,468 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
