Research Fellow for CPfWA

Description: This post is a Research Fellow position within the COAST research group in the School of Marine Science and Engineering at Plymouth University. The primary function of the role is to work on the CPfWA (Common Power take off for Wave energy converter Arrays) project by performing independent and collaborative experimental research investigating the potential advantages of using a collective power take offs within arrays of wave energy converters.
This is a collaborative project with researchers at Dalian University of Technology, China and the post holder will be expected to travel to China as part of this collaboration.
You will be expected to conduct cutting edge research which will significantly update knowledge and understanding in the field of array interactions of wave energy converters. The successful candidate will have experience in conducting scaled experiments within the marine environment.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week and is fixed-term for 6 months.
