About the role 

This new role represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced, data driven research professional with an inherently curious mind to join Staffordshire University’s Marketing team and lead on creating and implementing a new integrated market insight framework across the institution. This role will be instrumental in bringing together several complex data sets from different departments and joining it up with sector intelligence, competitor research and primary research to develop and disseminate the insight that is needed to grow the University as well to develop a deep understanding of applicant and student experience.

As Market Insights Manager, you will be leading on a broad and comprehensive research and insights programme to ensure that course portfolios, student number planning, and fees and scholarships planning all comes together to create competitive advantage for the institution, shaping the size and shape of the University to deliver against recruitment targets.

The ideal candidate would have extensive experience of designing and executing an integrated suite of research activity and delivering the findings clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the institution. Previous experience of providing advice to managers regarding market insight will be crucial, along with an understanding of how to effectively use the findings sector data, key aggregated research and sector-wide surveys (such as NSS, PRES and PTES) to inform and advise the institution’s most senior teams on current and future activity, markets, and positioning.
